The Cathedral
is first of all a house of prayer. At its heart is the Blessed Sacrament,
and the Church is open daily (6:15 am until 6:15 pm) so that the faithful
may visit the Eucharistic Lord. Each day the Divine Liturgy is celebrated.
It is here at the Cathedral that the Archbishop gathers with the clergy
and the faithful of the Archdiocese for major celebrations of the liturgical
year, and especially for the Mass of the Sacred Chrism during Holy Week.
The Cathedral is also a parish and the regular parish celebrations of Holy
Mass and the Sacraments take place here. The Cathedral clergy are particularly
available for the Sacrament of Penance.
