Friends of the Cathedral

This group was founded by the Father James P. Comey, Rector of the Cathedral from 1995 to 2002. Its purpose is to support the Cathedral and her Mission, especially to maintain the Music Programme and to assist with the ongoing restoration and care of our heritage building.

The group inspires all who participate to appreciate the Mother Church of the Archdiocese of Vancouver and encourages all parishioners, members of the Archdiocese, local residents and visitors, to support the Archbishop and the Cathedral clergy through prayer, fundraising, and practical assistance.

All those who love Holy Rosary Cathedral are invited to become a Friend.

For more information, please contact the Rector of the Cathedral.

Other Financial Support of Holy Rosary Cathedral

The Cathedral, not having the stable population and predictable income of a regular parish is greatly indebted to her special benefactors.

Those wishing a set of regular contribution envelopes are asked to contact the parish office.

Those wishing to make a one-time gift to be used either for the ongoing operational expenses or for a specific need—for example, the Music Programme or the restoration of the Stained Glass—may do so by putting your gift in an envelope and handing it to the Rector or leaving at the Parish Office. If a tax receipt is required, please include all pertinent information: full name and address, including postal code.

Remembrance of Holy Rosary Cathedral in your will, special bequests, and other forms of planned giving are very gratefully welcome.  For more information on planned giving in the Archdiocese of Vancouver, click here.

The Benefactors of the Cathedral, both living and deceased, are remembered regularly in prayer.
